The Cedar Ridge Creative Centre is nestled within lush gardens enjoyed by the public and often rented for weddings and special events. Explore the main house and the Cedar Ridge Gallery which exhibits contemporary and classic visual and folk art. The upper floor of the main house and the adjacent carriage house contain working studio spaces where we welcome all ages in our hands-on creative arts programs. The refurbished pottery studio is located in what was the original carriage house.
Brian Donnelly experimented with a number of different stains as painting media: beer, black coffee, wine & tea to name a few. The experiment happened in conjunction with an exploration of watercolour portrait painting of a vast range of Canadians; from prime ministers to plumbers, lobster fishermen to lab technicians. Sep 3-14. Free.
