TIFF is dedicated to presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema to film lovers. What began as the Festival of Festivals over 40 years ago, has become the world’s most important publicly attended film festival and grown to embrace programming 365 days a year.
As a premier cultural institution TIFF offers screenings, lectures, discussions, festivals, workshops, industry support and the chance to meet filmmakers from Canada and around the world.
We are committed to treating all peoples with respect, dignity and fairness and will take steps to welcome people of all backgrounds.

What’s new for 2017?
2. THE VISA SCREENING ROOM IS NOW AT THE PRINCESS OF WALES THEATRE
Visa Infinite cardholders will now have first access to seats via their own priority line.
3. ASSIGNED SEATING AT ROY THOMSON HALL AND THE VISA SCREENING ROOM AT THE PRINCESS OF WALES
There’s no need to line up for hours to get a good seat — It will be waiting for you! We still recommend arriving at the venue 30 minutes before the screening, as your seat is only guaranteed until 15 minutes prior to the screening (otherwise it may be surrendered to the Rush line).
4. GET A GALA STANDBY TICKET
Available only for Gala screenings at Roy Thomson Hall. In the event that advance tickets are no longer available, we will release a limited number of Standby tickets. The Standby line will be admitted before the Rush line to get first dibs on unclaimed seats. All other venues are general admission, first come first served.
5. TIFF MEMBERS PICK FIRST
All TIFF Members can redeem Festival packages and buy individual tickets ahead of the general public.
What to See
There’s lots to see in and around Festival Village — and most of it is free! From September 7- 10, join us as King Street, from Peter Street to University Avenue, becomes Festival Street, a cars-free area for activations, performances, screenings, and more. Plus: visit David Pecaut Square for red carpets, interactive installations, and free stuff.
